The most common question I get is "How is it going from 3 to 4 kids?" The answer really depends on the day I am having, but overall I would say it's not too bad. Of course it's one more kid which means way more laundry to do, the house stays messier even longer now, and I have even more days where I don't have the time to get ready. If I look back at the other transitions I would say this is my easiest one.
Going from 0 kids to 1 kid- This was my hardest one out of all of them. I
thought I knew everything it took to be a mom. I
thought
my baby would be the lucky baby that sleeps through the night and doesn't give me any trouble
. I
thought I would lose my baby weight and fit into my jeans in no time. Everything I
thought wasn't true. My life completely changed. Even though Nicholas was the cutest baby ever he was
soooo hard.
Going from 1 kid to 2 kids- This was hard because I
basically had 2 babies. Nicholas was 16 months when Sammy was born and so I had 2 babies screaming at me instead of 1. Nicholas didn't talk much which made it really hard. Luckily Sammy was a perfect baby and that made it a little easier.
Going from 2 kids to 3 kids- I was terrified to have Parker because I would have 3 kids under 3 and 3 kids in diapers. I got lucky again and Parker was a great baby. I also still had all 3 kids taking 2-3 hour naps. There were hard times because I now had 3 kids and only 2 arms to do things. The hardest part came when Parker became mobile. That's when my life got CRAZY!
So really 4 isn't bad. I have actually learned to chill out a little. Luke might not agree because when he comes home I am pretty tired and cranky. If you ask any of my good friends they would tell you I was a schedule freak and nap
nazi. Yes, I can proudly admit that. Having Noah has made me relax on the schedule part. I kind of have been forced to. I have 2 kids in school which makes it hard to keep him on a tight schedule. So yeah 4 is good, still crazy but good. I have my really good days and I have my really bad days, but when I see this face it makes it all worth it:
.
Speaking of this adorable face. Noah is 2 months now! Can you believe it? He is such chunk of love. Serious this boy is huge. I haven't taken him in for his 2 month yet but I am guessing he is at least 14 lbs. Here are a few things about our little Noah:
- he is fitting into his 3-6 months clothes pretty well, and by pretty well I mean he is almost too long for them
- he still holds his hands in a fist all day long and they smell BAD!
- he is a pretty serious baby, mommy can get a lot of smiles out of him but for everyone else he just stares you down. Nicholas was like that too.
- when people see him the first thing out of their mouth is "you can tell he is a
Lund".
- he loves his older brother Nicholas and smiles at him a lot
- he loves to be held by his older sister Sammy and almost always falls
asleep- he is a little scared of his brother Parker. Gee I wonder why? :)
- he still poops A LOT, at least 2 times at night, which makes the nights a little annoying
- he has the best lips ever which makes it so hard to not kiss him 24/7
- he always flares his nostrils before he starts to "talk"
I promise he has a neck in there somewhere
He is just about to "talk" to me
