We're Outnumbered

That's right the final score is 4 to 2. And yes I mean FINAL. Today was the day we found out what the sex of the baby is. We brought Nicholas and Sammy, not because we wanted to but they had to be a preschool thing right by there. They had fun for about 1 minute looking at the baby. They both really wanted a girl Nicholas wanted a girl because he wanted there to be 3 boys and 3 girls. Sammy wanted a girl because she only wants to share a room with a girl. And honestly I wanted a girl because I have so many cute girls clothes that only were worn once. Also it was the perfect season. Both of my boys were summer babies and so that means I have no winter clothes for a baby boy. Anyways Luke and I are both excited. The baby is healthy and moving like crazy in there. We can't wait to meet him. There is one slight problem....we don't have any boy names. We had a bunch of girls but no boys. Any suggestions? Oh and sorry for the Lund family who has to read this on my blog. I couldn't post anything on the family blog. I have no idea why. I tried like 5 times.

Take a Look

My friend Nicole was kind enough to take pictures of the kids in their Easter clothes. They turned out so cute. Since I am using Picasa I can only post 4 pictures. These were my favorite.

Parker was a cheese ball for her. Most of his turned out cute, towards the end his patience was not so good.
Sammy was a little model. She loved having someone take her pictures.
Nicholas was a another story. He is at this stage where his smile is a little awkward. Finally Nicole asked me to try to get him to do a different smile. This is what we got. I think it's cute. I guess it just means my boy is growing up.
See what I mean, awkward smile. Getting all 3 kids to smile decently was a little harder. This is what we got.
Don't worry grandparents, you will be getting some.

Birthday Festivities

This last Sunday we celebrated Parker's birthday and his cousin Jack's birthday. They are 12 days apart. We kept it very low key. I made some Elmo cupcakes for the kids and Parker loved them. He couldn't wait to get his hands on one.

After the cake and presents we did a pinata and he was pretty into it. Anything that has to do with a bat and hitting something he loves.

The Luckiest

I have to say that my kids are the LUCKIEST. Why? Because Luke is their dad. The kids love him and can't get enough of him. He is so good with them and has so much patience. I couldn't have asked for a better father for my children. I asked the kids what they LOVE about their dad, here is what they said :
-he play fights with me
-he makes forts with me
-he brings books and videos home from the library
-reads books to me
-plays dress up(sammy said this)
-plays ball
-he kisses me
-he farts(hey I am just saying what they told me)
-he's nice to me
-he loves mommy
-he lets me open Parker's presents

This is what Luke woke up on Father's Day morning. Yes those are homemade by yours truly. They were easy because you could do most of it the night before. Here is the recipe

What I love the most about Luke as a dad is he knows when he needs to be serious and...
When he can be silly. We love you Luke!

Sammy's Talk

Miss Sammy had to give her very first talk in primary last week. She was very excited as we were telling her about it at home. Even in sacrament she was excited. Well of course that all changed when it was her turn. She was grabbing onto me and kept trying to pull my shirt down. So yeah, I guess she was a little nervous. Her topic was Families and she got to hold a picture of our whole family, which she thought was pretty cool. We are proud of our little girl and can't wait for her next talk so she can actually say a few words.

Happy 2nd B-Day!!

Our little chunky monkey is 2 today. I can't believe 2 years has gone by with this little man in our family. He has definitely thrown this family for a loop. We love him and can't imagine our family without him. Here are a few things about Parker:
-he loves "cycles" (motorcycles)
-He can spot a plane from anywhere
-he loves to fight with anyone. You will find that most of the times he has his fists in front of his face looking for a fight. Thanks Luke for that one!
-he loves mouse(mickey mouse)
-loves any sport and will play for hours
-loves his beloved skateboard, he takes it anywhere we go.
-he will take his mom over dad anyday. This makes me happy because the other 2 kids are the ooposite.
- he is ALL boy!

Even though this kid can be a big bully he loves to cuddle with mom. He does this new thing where he loves to touch a kiss my face. I love it! We love you Parker!
This was taken by a good friend about a month or so ago
We got donuts for breakfast and this is how he wanted to eat it
Birthday Donut!

We are celebrating his birthday on Sunday so I will post pictures of the that soon.

My Getaway

This past weekend I had the chance to getaway for a couple days. Life has been crazy especially with Luke being gone 7am-10:30pm a couple days a week. It's been a hard adjustment for our family. I went to go visit my friend and old roommate Ranya. Her husband is deployed to Japan for 8 months. When I heard this was happening I told her I would come visit her one weekend. I was supposed to go in April but my first trimester was so bad that I had to postpone it.

So I finally made it happen. It was a blast. I was a little nervous about driving 4.5 hours by myself each way. I tried to find someone to ride with me who had family there but that didn't work out very well. Turns out I love riding all alone. The best part was I could listen to my music without someone telling me they didn't like it. So on the way there i sang my heart out to: Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Wicked, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Grease, Tim McGraw, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, and many more.

The trip was very chill. I just wanted to eat out with no kids, go to the beach with no kids, sleep in, and get a pedicure. It's exactly what I got. The weather at the beach was perfect that we decided to rent beach cruisers and ride the boardwalk. I haven't done that in 10 years. It was so fun even though my crotch did hurt the day after. I almost looked as good as the girls who rode theirs with their string bikinis. Thanks you Ranya so much for a fun and relaxing weekend. Oh yeah and thanks to my wonderful man who watched the kids. Now all I need is to have a getaway with Luke. Anyone want to watch 3 kids?:)

Dancing Queen

This is my little Dancing Queen. Okay not really. I had to pretty much force her to go to dance the last couple months. I wanted to get Sammy into something because I felt like Nicholas was the one who was into a lot of things. I decided on dance. I am glad we did it because she really did like it. Or maybe she liked telling Faith what to do more. Who knows. It was just nice for her to have a class where someone else is telling her what to do. It was good for her. I have a feeling she is like her mom and not really into the dancing thing. I am thinking she might like gymnastics better. I figure I'll keep her in a couple more years and see.

Anyways last night she had her first recital. It was adorable. Just picture a bunch of 3 year olds trying to dance. She actually did the best she has ever done. I was pretty proud of my little girl. We might have bribed her with strawberry ice cream :)

Faith and Sammy waiting for their debut
Teddy Bear dance
This is their first dance. They were pretending to be tired.
And this is what happens after a LONG night. She might be crazy but we love her!!

Baseball

At the end of May Nicholas finished his Tball season. He loved it and was very sad it was done. We are so proud of him and how well he progressed throughout the season. He definitely loves his sports. Nicholas was very lucky and had a lot of people come watch his games. His Grandpa Z was at almost every game and he loved having him there. He says he wants to play soccer in the Fall. So it looks like we have 3 months to rest up and get ready for that.
