Disney On Ice

My neighbor gave our whole family free tickets to Disney On Ice. I was so excited because I really wanted to go but didn't have the money for it. This is was the first time any of us have ever gone. It was really cute. Sammy and Nicholas loved it but Parker not so much. About half way through he got very antsy. Before we left I told the kids not to even ask for food there or souvenirs. I was warned ahead of time that a drink is like $7.00 there. They did really well and didn't ask for any of it. I did feel a little bad when I looked around and saw everyone pretty much had the cool food and toys. Here we are before the show:
We had one extra ticket so we brought my mom with us.
Nicholas and Parker's favorite part
Sammy was anticipating the arrival of Tinkerbell. Half way through her act Sammy whispered in my ear and asked if Tinkerbell was wearing any underwear. I couldn't help but laugh, and then I asked her why she thought of that. She said her dress was really short. That's my girl!

Here is the princess from The Princess and the Frog. Sammy loved looking at her too.

Having 4

The most common question I get is "How is it going from 3 to 4 kids?" The answer really depends on the day I am having, but overall I would say it's not too bad. Of course it's one more kid which means way more laundry to do, the house stays messier even longer now, and I have even more days where I don't have the time to get ready. If I look back at the other transitions I would say this is my easiest one.

Going from 0 kids to 1 kid- This was my hardest one out of all of them. I thought I knew everything it took to be a mom. I thought
my baby would be the lucky baby that sleeps through the night and doesn't give me any trouble. I thought I would lose my baby weight and fit into my jeans in no time. Everything I thought wasn't true. My life completely changed. Even though Nicholas was the cutest baby ever he was soooo hard.

Going from 1 kid to 2 kids
- This was hard because I basically had 2 babies. Nicholas was 16 months when Sammy was born and so I had 2 babies screaming at me instead of 1. Nicholas didn't talk much which made it really hard. Luckily Sammy was a perfect baby and that made it a little easier.

Going from 2 kids to 3 kids
- I was terrified to have Parker because I would have 3 kids under 3 and 3 kids in diapers. I got lucky again and Parker was a great baby. I also still had all 3 kids taking 2-3 hour naps. There were hard times because I now had 3 kids and only 2 arms to do things. The hardest part came when Parker became mobile. That's when my life got CRAZY!

So really 4 isn't bad. I have actually learned to chill out a little. Luke might not agree because when he comes home I am pretty tired and cranky. If you ask any of my good friends they would tell you I was a schedule freak and nap nazi. Yes, I can proudly admit that. Having Noah has made me relax on the schedule part. I kind of have been forced to. I have 2 kids in school which makes it hard to keep him on a tight schedule. So yeah 4 is good, still crazy but good. I have my really good days and I have my really bad days, but when I see this face it makes it all worth it:
.
Speaking of this adorable face. Noah is 2 months now! Can you believe it? He is such chunk of love. Serious this boy is huge. I haven't taken him in for his 2 month yet but I am guessing he is at least 14 lbs. Here are a few things about our little Noah:
- he is fitting into his 3-6 months clothes pretty well, and by pretty well I mean he is almost too long for them
- he still holds his hands in a fist all day long and they smell BAD!
- he is a pretty serious baby, mommy can get a lot of smiles out of him but for everyone else he just stares you down. Nicholas was like that too.
- when people see him the first thing out of their mouth is "you can tell he is a Lund".
- he loves his older brother Nicholas and smiles at him a lot
- he loves to be held by his older sister Sammy and almost always falls asleep
- he is a little scared of his brother Parker. Gee I wonder why? :)
- he still poops A LOT, at least 2 times at night, which makes the nights a little annoying
- he has the best lips ever which makes it so hard to not kiss him 24/7
- he always flares his nostrils before he starts to "talk"
I promise he has a neck in there somewhere
He is just about to "talk" to me

Basketball

If I could describe Nicholas in one word it would be SPORTY. He is obsessed with sports. Whether it is on TV or if he is playing it. When one season is over he asks what sport he is playing next. He favorite sport changes as he is playing. So like when he is playing soccer he says that is his favorite one, same for baseball and basketball. Whatever sport he is currently in he practices ALL day long in the house. Right now it's basketball and all I hear everyday ALL day is a basketball bouncing on my tile floor. I love that he is so active and that he truly enjoys it. I hope this stays with him. He started his first season of basketball and like always he absolutely loves it. I love it too because it's cheap and the season is pretty short. If I could pick one sport for him to really succeed in it would basketball. I really love watching it. His team is the Celtics and he has a lot of his friends on it with him. This last Saturday he insisted on wearing Luke's old sweatband. He look so cute with his shorts jacked up high, his shirt tucked in, and little ears sticking out because of the band. Check it out:
Some of the team waiting to go in:
He is pretty good at defense. The minute the other team gets the ball he darts to the other end of the court and puts his hands out to try to stop them:

What a clown

In 16 years I can pretty much guarantee that Parker will be voted Class Clown of his Senior class. This kid drives us crazy and cracks us up at the same time. He is always getting into something. If you think I am exaggerating just spend a day at our house and you will agree. Here are some pictures that show Parker's personality to a "T".

He went through a stage where he always had to have his gloves and my glasses on

Genius!

Noah has been a little fussy the last couple days and this is what Luke came up with:
Noah loves staring at Spiderman. One night when I was gone Luke said he was in there for an hour just looking at it. Is my husband a genius or what? Here is Noah's sad face:
doesn't it just make you want to pick him up and kiss those lips?

Noah's Blessing

On Sunday January 3rd we blessed Noah. It was a great day. We had so many family and friends come to support us. Luke gave a great blessing and I am very thankful to have a husband who can bless all our children. We switched to one o clock church and I was very confident that we would have plenty of time to take all the pictures before church. I was soooo wrong! We had no extra time so I forced my family to take a few pictures after church so I can at least document this special day. As you can see from the pictures they didn't like this. They were all tired and hungry and desperately trying to play with their cousins.
This was the best picture of Noah. He is crying in all the other ones I took. See the awesome blanket behind him? My mother in law cross stitches these for all her grandchildren. They are so amazing and I am glad they have something like these to keep forever.
this is the kind of picture you get when you force your family to take a picture
After the family one I tried to get Luke to take one of us and Noah but he took off so fast after the family picture and I couldn't find him so it was just me and the babe. He of course didn't like it.

GODDBYE and HELLO

GOODBYE 2009 and HELLO 2010! 2009 was a great year with a few exceptions. The best part was welcoming Noah into our family. I am excited and scared for 2010. We are hoping for a lot of good things to happen to our family. I have a lot of things I really want to work on this year. Here's to a wonderful 2010!!

We didn't do much last night for New Years but it was still a lot of fun. We had a ton of goodies, played a lot of games, and celebrated the New York New Year. I thought about letting the older kids stay up until 12 but then Nicholas came to me at 7 and said he was tired. The best part was making these glasses I found on Familyfun.com. I cut them out and the kids got to decorate them. For some reason Parker insisted on having his black.
Luke and I had to make some too, that's how cool they were.
