Happy New Year!

Can you believe it is 2008? It's crazy. This year i will have my 10 year high school reunion and i swear it was just yesterday that i left for college. I am not one to go crazy on new years resolutions. I'll admit i usually don't follow through with them. I know it's awful but at least i am admitting it right? I have a great life. A wonderful husband and kids, but i realized that there are quite a few things that need improving on. I am not going to list all of them but i do have to share 2 of them with you.

1. To not get pregnant this year. Laugh all you want but i have been pregnant in 03,04,05,06, & 07. No joke! I just want one year to have a somewhat normal body. Is that so hard to ask? As much as i love all my kids i do not need a 4th one right now. Which brings me to #2.

2. I need to lose weight. Being pregnant so close together has been tough when it comes to losing weight. Right before i found out i was pregnant with Parker i was about 10 lbs from my goal weight. Now i am about 25(35 would be good but i better not push it) lbs away from where i need to be. Unfortunately i am not one of those girls who can walk out of the hospital in my normal jeans. Also when i nurse it is very hard for me to lose weight. It takes A LOT of extra work. Which i am willing to do. See my sister Amy is getting married March 15th. I need to look really good. My other 2 sisters are tiny and i don't want to look like a cow next to them. I know i won't be at my goal but hopefully half way there. I normally do weight watchers but it is not in our budget this year.

This is where all you come in. I need your help and support. In weight watchers you get weighed once a week. So i decided every Friday morning i will report on my here and let you know how much i lost/gained. No i will not tell you my starting weight. I don't want all you to die of shock! I know what you are thinking, "how can we trust that you will tell us the right number". Just trust me on this one. Please??? I checked out the book Body for Life and hopefully that can help me out. I will be going to the gym 2 days a week and working out in my garage 3 days a week. I have an elliptical,, treadmill, and free weights. Now my wonderful husband has taken on his own separate challenge. He is 6'5 and weighs 197(he would kill me if he knew i told you all that). He really doesn't need to lose any weight but he is doing this to help me out. Anyways i have 2 more days until i do my official starting weight. Oh and don't expect me to post pictures of myself while i lose. Maybe when i weigh 125 and can fit into my hot bikini :)

Okay, that post totally made me laugh. Good luck not being pregnant! You can totally do 25lbs too, good luck!
