It's 1989 and i am sittinng on my bed sporting my side pony tail and majorly high bangs. I am staring at my awesome NKOTB posters that are plastered all over my wall. You know the ones you get from Teen Bop. As i am staring at these posters i am wishing so bad that i can be Jordan Knight's wife.
Yes i was that obsessed with New Kids On The Block. Emily and i used to rock out to their songs. I probably still have their tapes(am i really that old?) somewhere in my boxes. When we were in 4th grade we went to their concert here in Vegas. It was awesome. I still remember Jordan wearing a white shirt that was unbuttoned and it was blowing open. We were going crazy. The sad thing was that Joey was sick so he wasn't at the concert. It was crazy how many girls were crying because he wasn't there.
Fast forward 18 years: Luke is getting ready this morning and on VH1 they show their new video. Of course i was laughing but deep down inside i still had this thing for them. It just brought back so many fun memories. After the video they show the dates and location of their new tour. And guess what?? They are coming to Vegas!! I am sure most of you are laughing at me for getting so excited about this. I want to go so bad. I think it would so fun. At first i thought it would be fun to get a bunch of girls together(who of course appreciated them as much as i did), but then i looked at how much the tickets were. The cheapest is $70. Seriously?? I just can't bring myself to spend that much on them. The best seats(which i would want) were $110. So now my dream is shattered. If anyone knows someone who could get cheap tickets let me know.

Oh my goodness, this post is hilarious on so many levels...mostly because I'm laughing at myself too for how much I was into them and how I'm secretly glad they are getting back together. lol
Only thing different when I was growing up is that I wasn't "allowed" to like Jordan because my BFF claimed him first...so I was forced onto Joey---big buttons, shirts, pillowcase covers, posters and all. Yes, Joey is cute in his own right, but NOTHING like Jordan. Sigh. He will always have a special place in my heart as I secretly always pined for him instead of Joey.

Marcy- Come to Vegas and we can go to the concert together. Don't worry i also have pins, keychains,pillowcases, and everything else you could think of. The 80's were the best!
It's ironic, in 2008 Alisa still finds herself gazing at NKOTB Teen Bop posters. She also still has the huge bangs and side ponytail. Call me crazy, but I think it's in.

I don't even know how to respond to this post....all I can say is Jordan was the hottest!!!! It would be so funny to see who showed up for the concert, would it be all past fans that are now moms or teenage girls? But we definately know who would be in the front row tossing her bra on stage...you:)
Seriously! My first concert was NKOTB in third grade! Love them! My mom wouldn't allow us to put our posters up in our room so they filled the walls of our closet! I thought Joey was the best! I'd totally go with you to the concert, side ponytail and all!
I LOVE NKOTB. I had everything also. I would love to go to this concert but there is no way I could talk Regan into paying 70 bucks for a ticket!
