Nick tried out flag football for the first time. Normally he plays soccer in the fall but he decided he wanted to do something a little different. I personally LOVED watching it. Again I was the crazy mom on the sidelines. I get so into it. Normally Nick goes into a sport being on the same team with a friend or two. We signed up late so we were just put on a random team. It was a good and bad thing. The bad part about it was that the coach was awful. His plays and attitude were bad. I don't know football very well but seriously these plays he had were bad. No one had ever played before and there were only 2 kids on the team who could throw a football. Nick being one of them. I don't want to be a bad sport but basically his team was not good. Especially compared to the other teams who played like NFL players. It was crazy. They won their first game and we were stoked. We thought, hey we could be pretty decent. Um yeah we lost the rest of the games pretty bad. Wait, there is good about this too. The good part is that Nick was the best player on the team. Which meant he played the good positions and even played offense and defense in the same game. It also meant he was picked to go to the pro bowl. Each team picks 2 kids to go play in this big end of the year game. Nick loved it and then I think at the end he got a little discouraged because they lost so bad. Nick is VERY competitive. I'm glad he had this experience. I have to say he was the cutest football player out there.
I love this picture. They are some of his best buds. Kai(the one in the Steelers jersey) played Nick's team so I brought some of Nick's other friends to cheer him on.

I Love this next picture of Nick. His whole team did the black under the eyes.
Here he is in action. He is on the right with the blue jersey on, and getting ready to throw the ball.

Kerry's first softball season she won every game. She was very cocky. Next team lost almost all the games. I know you wont agree but I think losing teaches you more.
