It what?!?!?!

Yes it has finally snowed here! I'm sure everyone and their mother will be posting about this but how could you not? People go crazy here when it snows. It's on the news and right now there is talk of school being cancelled. People were let off early from work today so they could get home safely. Call us dramatic, but hey we never see this stuff. They say it hasn't snowed like this since 1979. It started at 12:30 and it has not ended yet(it's 6:30). Usually it snows for a couple hours and stops then melts not too long after.

This is right when it started
Then 3 hours later it looked like this!

I swear he loved the snow but for some reason he was giving me a dirty look

I thought Sammy would be the first one to go back inside but she was loving it. She was so into making this snowman. We had a couple problems with it. The carrott wouldn't stay in, and the licorice(for his mouth) wouldn't stay either. So we just stuck with rocks.

This is what our house looked like. Doesn't it look pretty??
Most of you who know me well know that i don't like snow. I love the look of it but then it takes you about 30 min to get all the kids dressed and layered up and then they only last about 20 min. Also it's not my favorite thing when i have just mopped my floors. At least the kids had fun and that's all that matters. Now if only the snow can all be melted by tomorrow so i can get some things done.

You have just as much snow as I do in my yard clear up here. It looks so pretty!! Feels a little more like Christmas, doesn't it? How fun for your kids.

Okay, first, it is really funny to think about school being canceled and work off early. I totally understand, it just makes me smile. I hope for your sake it's gone in the morning. Your house looks awesome. I love the look of snow too. It's HORRIBLE to drive in though, and it does take WAY to long to get everyone dressed for play. Ugh!

I heard about the snow and still can't believe it... how crazy, but so fun for your kids! Sounds like Vegas gets crippled when this happens though. Have fun with it while it lasts (I wish ours came and went like that too!)

I hate snow too, but for some reason December snow is much better than January snow. Yours probably won't stick around for Christmas though. It looks pretty but that is about all it has going for it.

Wow! I'm so shocked! This is the first I've heard this. Thanks a lot mom and dad. The pictures are so cute and... well I'm still just shocked that it snowed like that! Yes- snow looks pretty but cold (hate the cold) and totally inconvient especially with kids. I'm with you sister. Great post!
