Half Marathon #5

Right after school got out at the beginning of June we headed out to run a race in Utah. I love running races in Utah. The weather and scenery are so beautiful. I headed up there with 3 other girls. It was so much fun and such a needed break. I love my girl getaways. I trained very poorly for this race. I was so nervous to run it because I think we only got up to 7 miles. With Luke's seminary and it getting hot it was just to easy find excuses not to run:) Luckily this race was mostly a downhill race. It started up by Sundance and ended by the Provo Tabernacle that burnt down. Funny thing is that I finally beat my PR in this race. It was such a happy day. I did push myself hard because I wanted so badly to beat my time. Who runs 4 half marathons and never beats her first half marathon time? Um that would be me!! Such a fun time. Can't wait to do another race. I read a quote on someone's blog the other day. She said running races is like having a baby. You forget how hard and painful it is until you get there and wonder, why am I doing this again? So true!
