Open Wide

On March 26, 2009 I took Nicholas and Sammy to our dentist- Uncle Jeff. Don't ask me why it has taken me this long to do it. I think I just wanted them to be a little older so they understood it and honestly I was scared that I might have to pin them down. I am proud to say that both of them joined the No Cavity Club. All those nights of trying to convince them to let Mom and Dad brush their teeth worked. I was so relieved that there would be no shots in the near future. Nicholas was very worried about it.

Nicholas did really well in the chair. I think because he is older. If you can't tell by his smile he really loved it!

Now Sammy on the other hand was a mess. Don't let this smile fool you. Sure she looks excited but the minute that chair went down and the light went on she was not having it.

The light was really bothering her so the hygienist gave her these awesome looking shades to wear. The worked for about 2 min.

See her hands trying to move the hygienists hands? She's such a stinker. I left for a couple minutes to give Nicholas a tour of the office. Supposedly she was really good until I came back into the room. Maybe I give her anxiety. Who knows. I'm just glad we don't have to go back for a while.

Princess for a day

Two weeks ago on March 16, 2009, Sammy's dance class had Princess for a day. Oh my was she in heaven. We have plenty of princess dresses to chose from. Ariel, Cindrella, Ice Princess....the list goes on. What does she decided to be? A fifties girl....whatever, when it comes to what this girl wants to wear there is no reasoning. Could she be even more a girl? Nicholas could care less what I pick for him. Anyways she absoultely LOVES her dance class. Every Monday morning she wakes up, puts her tights and leotard on and keeps it on until bedtime. Again...whatever I'm not going to fight it. Her teacher Miss Lori is great with these girls. I know I could never teach 12 3 yr. old girls. No way!! Sammy best friend Fatih is in this class with her and they have so much fun. Faith is a little firecracker and Sammy is always there to make sure she is not getting into trouble. Here are a few pictures.

It was not easy getting all 12 to look at the camera.

See Sammy putting her hand on Faith. I'm sure Faith was getting excited(like any 3 yr. old would do) and Sammy is just trying to calm her down. She is such a control freak. Geez, I wonder where she gets that from?? :)

Princesses who are best friends!!

Are you wearing green?

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!
The kids in their green shirts
I told them I would make green pancakes and milk. Nicholas was so excited for it but Sammy requested yellow instead of green. Why? I don't know, but i did it for her anyways.
He loved every minute of it

Where does the time go?

I was looking at old pictures of the kids. It made me realize how fast they have grown up. I can't believe that my kids used to be this little. Look at their faces....so INNOCENT! If babies could stay this age forever I would love it. It's my favorite age so far. People say all my kids look alike but i really don't see it. They all look so different to me.
Nicholas at 5 months. Look at those big eyes.
Sammy at almost 5 months. She was such a chubster. People called her Michelin girl. Look at those arms.
Parker at 4 months. See even then he knew he had a good body.

Update

You know you need to update your blog when your husband tells you to put a new post up. So here I am. I have been a very bad blogger lately. All of sudden life is crazy pretty much 24/7. So here is an update on what's going in the Lund Family:

-

Nicholas thinks he is Wolverine. All day long he has his fingers out or "blades" and gives us this weird and freaky look.

Sammy is literally obssesed with her dance clothes. She started dance about a month ago and LOVES it! The minute she wakes up she put it's on and doesn't take it off until bedtime. I walked into the kitchen and saw her doing this. Maybe she was supposed to born in the 80's.

Then there is Parker who drives me crazy all day long with his whining, getting into anything and everything, telling me no and mine all the time. Even though he is my hardest child so far he still makes me smile. Especially when he takes pictures like this. I think he will be a ladies man....seriously this little guy will have ladies lining up for him.
As for Luke and I, well we are just trying to find time to be together. Like I said life is crazy right now. I'm not used to always being on the go. I know what all of you will tell me, it's only the beginning.

I'm totally bragging

I really try hard not to brag about how wonderful my husband is, how great my kids are, how beautiful and skinny I am :), and how we are so rich . Even those are really true(well most of them), I just don't want my readers to be rolling their eyes or wanting to throw up every time they read my posts. But today my friends I just HAVE to blog about this.

We all know my husband is wonderful. He really is. I think we are a great match. We balance each other out. Well we decided to do a very very low key Valentines Day. Money is tight so we just had to be creative. I decided to do the 12 days of Valentines. I started on February 2ND and everyday i had a heart telling him why I loved him. I was so excited because i thought my idea was just the best! This is what he did for me:
How cute is that? He made me heart flowers and then put it in a real vase. The big heart is my card and then there are 12 dozen reasons why he loves me. He did admit he got the 12 reason from me but the rest he came up with. He even put blue paper at the bottom for water. It made my day. The kids couldn't wait for me to get it. We might be poor but hey at least I got my flowers after all!

the 12 reasons:

-Good Mother
-Kind
-Fun
-Giving
-Beautiful
-Dedicated
-Friend
-Funny
-Lover
-Loving
-Domestic
-Strong

The kids wanted me to pose with the flowers. So there you have it. I'm bragging and I totally admit it.

Mirror, Mirror on the wall......

This last week was our New Beginnings for our YW. One of the girls put it all together for her big project. She asked all of the leaders to participate in a skit. The Skit was about Snow White and the 7 values. Guess who had to play Snow White? Yup, Me!! I was very nervous. Most people would think I like doing this kind of thing but I really don't. No worries, it turned out really good and we had so much fun doing it. I love working with all these women. They make my Sundays much more entertaining. :)
We were trying to play our part for the picture (Laura- I love you in this one)
