Father's Day

Happy Father's day to the best Dad ever!
Luke slept in this morning and so the kids were anxiously waiting for him to get up. We had all his presents ready and breakfast. I finally let them all go in there and wait him up NICELY. Luke's face is always swollen when he wakes up. It happens to Parker too. I love it! We love Luke and all he does for our family. The kids are always asking when Daddy is coming home. This usually starts at about 2 in the afternoon. I'm so glad they love him so much.

My parents watched the kids the other night so we could go out and they made this banner for Luke. Nicholas and Sammy did it all by themselves. I love seeing the final products of their drawings.
I love how Sammy wrote her words backwards.

Mr. Parker

is 3 today!!! I am happy to say that we both have survived another year. As much as I complain about how hard he is, we love him and think he is awesome. Seriously, this kid makes us laugh more than any other kid. I have a feeling he will be the class clown. The only thing he wanted for his birthday was to go to Chuck e Cheese and a "Piderman" cake. He has been asking for months. So last night we did that with my family. This morning he had his birthday donut. He LOVES all his toys that he got and has been playing with them all morning long. Life is great. We love this kid and we know that our lives would be pretty boring without him.

I looked at last years post that I did for his birthday. This kid has not changed at all. He still loves airplanes, motorcycles, any kid of superhero, and is still a little bully. I'm telling you he can wrestle with Nick and pin him down. Here are some new things about Parker:

-He loves to say What up, but it's the way he says it. Like he is a really cool kid.
-He loves to cuddle with anyone and kiss them
-This kid is a natural at sports, I just have a feeling I will have to push him a little harder(which is total opposite of Nick,
-He loves to wake up early, like really early.
-We are in the process of potty training him. It's a challenge, but he is huge and I am sick of feeling like I am changing a 5 year olds diaper.
-He(and me) is so excited for preschool to start this fall- Hip Hip Hooray!!!!

Parker and his precious Spiderman cake. He loved it, and didn't even realize the webs were the wrong color. I ran out of black coloring so the final product was a purple/gray color.

This morning- What a cutie!
Of course the kids had to jump in. I made Sammy put a paper towel over her top half. I guess she didn't feel like having clothes on.
He loves this thing and I might like it to when I need to get my frustrations out.
Happy 3rd Birthday Buddy, we love you!!!

8 years ago.....

I met this guy. I walked past his apartment door and he slapped my butt. Okay maybe that didn't exactly happen but I knew he wanted me and I just wanted those lips. How's that for being honest! I'm not normally a big sentimental person when it comes to "this many years ago we held hands, or we kissed, blah blah blah." As we were getting ready for bed last night I realized that the 9Th was when we first hung out and stayed up until 3 or 4 in the morning talking. Yes were just talking people. I love thinking about the first part of our relationship. No worries, just hanging out having fun and getting to know each other.
Even after 8 years he still does this:
If I'm being honest Luke isn't a romantic type of guy. Since we have been married he has probably given me flowers 3 maybe 4 times. It's never been a big deal to me. He makes up for it by always helping me with the kids or cleaning the house. I will take that over flowers any day. The other day he surprised me with some flowers...just because. It was very sweet of him. The sweetest part was when he had a single rose for Sammy. She was beyond excited. Can't you tell by her face?
Receiving the flowers did make my day, and I am secretly hoping it happens a little more often.

Dance Time

Miss Sammy had her recital this last week. Even though recitals are long I always look forward to seeing Sammy dance. Sammy is my shy child, but for some reason she does really well at the recitals. She smiles really big and tries to do most of her steps. She loves it, but also loves when it is over. She loves her teacher Miss Lori. We are taking a break from Dance and trying gymnastics for a change.

Sammy and her good friend Kennedy, and some random lady in the back ground. I love when I do that.

Memorial Weekend Part 2

If you know Luke well enough you know that he is a homebody. He loved spending the weekends at home doing his yard work and home repairs. Since we had a tball game every Saturday for the past 2 months he was itching to do his weekend chores. I told him that our 3 older kids are at a good age to do some fun things like hiking, and Noah is at a good age too because he can just sit in a backpack and not want to get out. I finally talked him into going on a family hike on Memorial day. We invited the Kiesels with us, and it was a lot of fun. We decided to do the tunnels out by Lake Mead. It was very flat and easy for the kids.

The fam: Check out the beautiful green scenery behind us, nothing can beat that! :)
The kids- again Parker posing
The tunnels
We had a great weekend and the kids were tired from all the activities we did. I was hoping the boys would sleep in but they were up bright and early at 5:55 this morning. Lucky me!!

Memorial Weekend Part 1

We are a sports family. We love them. I got used to growing up without any professional teams. Since Luke grew up in Chicago area he was surrounded by pro teams. He gets a little depressed about Vegas not having any. If he could change 2 things about Vegas it would be having seasons, and getting a pro team. Believe it or not we do have a Minor league baseball team. The Las Vegas 51's. We have never gone because it's not in the greatest areas. Nicholas' school did a night there and the tickets were really cheap. So we went for it. The kids got free hats, and we actually splurged and got them snow cones. Best money we ever spent. It kept Parker occupied for at least an hour!
The boys had to have gloves to catch some balls. Parker was into the game for about half an inning but Nicholas loved every second of it. Was I surprised? Not at all.

Parker was doing this face on purpose. He always has to pose for any picture we take. We never know what kind of face he is going to make. Who does he get this from? His Dad! Every picture I see of Luke when he was younger he is making a face of some sort.
It was a fun night and we left there saying we should do it more often.
