9 months

Noah is 9 months now. Three more months and he is 1. I don't even want to think about. I am a little emotional with every milestone he does because it's the last time I will have a baby crawl for the first time, or get in the tupperware cupboard one last time. For every thing that is a first for him, is a last for me. Makes me a little sad.

Noah has become quite vocal. Especially when it comes to his food. This kid is a bottomless pit.
Noah:
-weighs 22 lbs
-loves to clap
-is learning how to wave
-loves giving open mouth kisses
-is getting 4 more teeth in(total of 12)
-is happy(when he isn't teething)
-loves to wrestle with dad
-isn't scared of Parker anymore
-is still a mommy's boy
-is into everything(toilet, toilet paper, taking anybodys clothes out of the drawer)
-is the sweetest little baby ever

This kid is so big that even Luke's arms get tired after a couple minutes.
Noah emptied out all of my tupperware, got inside, and closed the door. I couldn't find him and then I heard giggling. This kid is crazy. Of course after the older kids saw him they had to do it too.

Mean mom

This is what happens when you throw sand in your eyes
It was so funny to see the looks people were giving me as I was taking a picture of him hysterically crying. They totally thought I was a mean mom and I am laughing and taking this. In my defense this was at least the 4th or 5th time he had thrown sand in his eyes. A part of me didn't feel bad anymore, but seriously isn't this picture the best?

So not ready for this

Nicholas has officially lost his first tooth. I posted on facebook when it was loose and in my status I wrote that they just aren't as cute when these big crooked teeth come in. I think some people thought I meant my kid wasn't cute. Of course he is still cute, come on he's a Lund. I meant the teeth aren't cute, and I am so not ready for him to have a mouthful of crooked teeth. If he takes after the Zockoll side he will need braces. When Luke talks about my uglier years he likes to call me snaggle tooth. Yes my teeth were pretty crooked. My husband is so nice.

Soooo... Nick had this tooth that was loose and I refuse to touch it or pull it. I don't do that kind of thing. It might have something to do with my parents pinning me to the ground and pulling my teeth out. I was one of those people who would rather have it dangling than get it pulled. Nick finally let Luke pull it. He was okay until he saw blood and then he went crazy. It was pretty funny. Here he is with his tooth in a baggie and showing off his gap. Sorry that's as close as you will get. I hate going on people's blogs and seeing a picture of their child's bloody hole. It makes me squirm.
After the drama subsided he sat down and wrote the tooth fairy a letter. He wanted to ask the tooth fairy for $100. I told him I think the tooth fairy gives $2 for the first tooth and a $1 for the rest. Yes we may be cheap but he's 6.
He was very excited to get the money the next morning. He didn't sleep on his pillow because he was scared she wouldn't be able to get the money because fairies are so small. Alright so now that the first tooth is over with we have about 30 or more to go.

Me

This post is mostly about ME! I realized I have posted about my children a lot. Not that I don't love them but hey it's my blog too, and I call the shots. I'm sure the names of my kids will sneak in here throughout the post.

This summer has been fun, crazy, boring, HOT,emotional(not me, the kids.Okay maybe me too.),and much more.

- I have decided it is time to lose this freaking weight. Having 4 kids in 5 years does a number to your body, and then you add in my genes and it's not good. I have to work REALLY hard to lose anything. It's a roller coaster and that's why I have been avoiding it. I knew I wasn't mentally ready. I hate getting my pictures taken and when I do I see myself and am not happy. I finally saw a picture of me and decided It's time to take charge. I started Weight Watchers again and going to the gym when I can. It's not easy getting 4 kids into the gym daycare which means going at 5:30 am or after the kids go to bed. I started 3 weeks ago and have lost 6.6 lbs so far. I need to lose 24 more to get to where was I was before I got pregnant with Nicholas. The first 2 week was HARD, but now I feel like I can do this. I am not going to eat perfect everyday and there will be some weeks I don't lose anything or maybe even gain. That's okay. I just want to lose it the healthy way and keep it off.

-I am growing my hair out. I hate it! You might be thinking " why are you doing it?" I haven't had long hair since....I have no idea. That's how long it has been. Now listen, long hair to me probably isn't long hair to you people. I just want to see what it looks like. Knowing me the minute I get to the length I want I will cut it short. I can tell you right now that I don't like feeling my hair on my back, it's driving me crazy. I love short hair.

-Nicholas starts 1st Grade in 2 weeks. I am having anxiety just typing this. I know he will be fine but it still freaks me out.

-Speaking of Nicholas he has told me that when he is 10 he will be taller than me. Well he just turned 6 and he at my chest. Not happy about that, and not happy that he WILL be taller than me when he is 10, probably even sooner.

-Luke and I want to move to another state. He wants snow in the winter(i don't). I just want my kids to be able to play outside in the summer time. So does anyone want to offer Luke a job in hmmmm..let's say Boise? Denver area? Oregon? or even Washington?

-Luke and I both turn 31 this year, and we will celebrate our 8th anniversary. I have big plans for us. We kind of got the shaft last year with Luke getting laid off, so this year it's double the fun!!!

-Speaking of turning 31. I'm getting old. I don't feel it but I look at my face and realize I'm not getting any younger.

-I don't get ready much these days. Is that what happens when you have 4 kids? Even when I just had 3 there were days I couldn't get ready but man with 4, it's nearly impossible.

-This new school year is going to be crazy. I will have 2 preschoolers, but on opposite days. Which means I will be at the school every single day. Thank goodness for carpooling. Even with that I will be there everyday. Then add in Nicholas. Noah better learn to like his car seat because he will be in there a lot.

-Luke is working 2 jobs right now, and recently got called as YM President. He is gone a lot, yet still finds time to be a good dad and husband. I know he is tired and feels overwhelmed, but never complains. I love that about him. He needs a day without kids, to just do what he wants. I tell him all the time to go golfing all day. He won't. That man is stubborn! One day I am going to pay one of his friends to kidnap and make him go.

-We are going to the beach this weekend. So excited to get out of the heat. I did hear Cali is going to be pretty hot, but it's so different from Vegas heat.

-Oh and Luke and I have to give talks this Sunday. Awesome!

Wow that felt good to get all of this off my chest. I have tried to unload this all on my kids but for some reason they have no interest. The kids and I took pictures one night while Luke was working late. Even though these kids make me cry at least once a day, and scream at least 5 times a day, they are still pretty awesome!

This boy:

is becoming quite the man. Yes I know he is only 6 but in my mind he is still my baby. The other day he wouldn't hug me so i picked him up like a baby. I felt like he was 12 years old because he is so long. It made me sad. Yesterday when we were walking into church we got mad at him for something. We walked in and sat down, he decided he was mad at us and sat 2 rows behind us. So not ready for this and I know it will just get worse when he starts 1st grade.
Let me tell you about this boy:
He is potty trained(he did poop in his pants today, which was a shocker). He starts his first year of preschool and I hope his teachers have the patience they need. He can be such a sweetheart. Although today he has managed to poop his pants, write marker all over his body, find one of my lip glosses and smear on the carpet and his body, and spill milk all over the kitchen floor. SO glad he still takes a 3 hour nap.

Now this guy:
is becoming quite vocal. What a lover he is. I am still nursing him but I have a feeling that is coming to an end soon. He doesn't have much interest in it anymore. It will be a sad day. Look at those teeth.

This girl:

Is growing up way too fast. She is taller than most girls her age. She has the longest legs, that of course she got from me. She has told me that she wants to get her ears pierced for her 5th bday. Still not sure about that one. She talks on her play phone to Faith and Kennedy all the time. Lately when I ask her to do something she responds by saying "whatever." Now the strict parent in me wants to get mad, but the 2 times she has said it Luke and I just laugh. Don't worry next time she says it I will put the smack down on her.

Sleepovers

This last weekend my kids had their first sleepover with cousins Jack and Owen. Adam and I have decided to do a swap every now and then so we can get a little 24 "getaway". We watched their kids while they celebrated their anniversary. I was a little nervous because my house isn't really made for 6 kids. It went great. The kids all got along and they went to bed fairly easy. They even slept through the huge thunder/lightning storm we had.I did not sleep through it. I was up for an hour worrying that I would have 6 scared kids up at midnight.

Parker and Jack enjoying a otterpop on the trampoline
Sammy was a great helper and was in "charge" of them during bath time. No worries I was there the whole time. Owen is almost 5 months older than Noah. It is so funny to see them together.
Normally Nick doesn't take baths, but he wanted to be in on the action.
My kids love this video so I thought I would try it on the cousins. It was a hit. Thanks Katie for telling me about it.

PARTY!!

(The basketball cake I made)

Nick wanted a sports theme for his birthday this year. Surprise, surprise! We decided to call it Nick's Sports Camp. We had little events for the boys to do. Home Run Derby, timed Slip n Slide races, and Frisbee Toss. The kids had a lot of fun, even though it was a billion degrees outside plus bad humidity. I really do love doing birthday parties. It completely stresses me out, but I love seeing how excited the kids get. Out of all my kids Nick is the one who tells me in detail what he wants. Every year I say I am done with outside parties because it is so hot, but then I give in. He had fun and who cares if I was sweating like a pig during the whole party. That my friends is the reason why you don't see any pictures of me. It was not a pretty sight.

These were the medals I made for each kid

Home run!
All the boys waiting for the ball. I love this picture because it reminds me of when I was younger and we used to be outside all day and play in the streets. Oh the good old days.

The Winners!!
Parker and Jack

On his actual birthday we celebrated with Friendly Donuts and gifts from mom and dad. Nicholas really wanted an iPod for his birthday. Sorry buddy you are 6, it's not happening. We did give him my old MP3 player and put some of his favorite songs on it. He loves it and still insists it's an iPod.
Grandma and Grandpa Lund gave him his very first real basketball. He loves it and can't wait to use it for basketball season in November.
I think he had a great 6th birthday. He is currently talking about what he wants to do for his 7th. Heaven help me!!

My First Born

How in the world did this little thing..
become this tall handsome boy?
Time is going by so fast and have enjoyed watching Nicholas grow up. We love him and can't imagine our family without him. A few things about Nicholas:
- he still loves every sport
-he favorite singer is Justin Bieber. He actually saw a shirt with him on it at Walmart. He wanted it so bad and I tried to explain to him that only girls wear boys on their shirts. He didn't understand it.
-he loves his friends
-Luke is his best friend
-he has become a time Nazi. Luke tells him a time he will be home and if will remember it and be very upset if he isn't home at that exact time.
-his new favorite movie is Sandlot.
-he talks my ear off all day long.
- for the most part he is a very obedient boy.

HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY NICHOLAS !!!!
