Many changes are happening in the Lund house lately. These are changes that will change our lives. That last line was dramatic huh? I have always wanted to say that. No, but really they will affect our lives.
#1- Luke has decided on a new career. He wants to be a firefighter. In January he came to me and told me about this new plan. I just kind of laughed at him. I thought it was a phase. He brought it up again a month later. That's when I knew he was serious. He started his EMT class about 6 weeks ago. We know this could be a long road ahead of us. It's a very hard job to get and can take a LONG time. We knew that getting into it. So basically on Mondays and Wednesday I am a single mom. I'm not used to this feeling. I have been spoiled by a husband coming home at 4 or 5 everyday and having enough energy to help me clean up after the little stinkers. Those days my friends, have come to an end. I am excited for Luke and I and this journey we will be taking.
#2- We are expecting #4. Due date is November 28Th. We are really excited. I'm pretty sure everyone knows about this already. I really wanted to keep it a secret until 12 weeks. I actually only told a few people but somehow that turned into about 50 people knowing. How it happened, I don't know. Oh well it doesn't matter. At least people knew why I was getting fat. Speaking of getting FAT. I am showing so much sooner with this one. It's pretty depressing. I have a feeling this will be my biggest pregnancy ever. I am just warning you all. Also I was really really sick with this first trimester. I have never been that sick with any of the other ones. It was hard with 3 little kids running around.
Oh and yes this is our last one. No doubt about it. Yeah I know you are all laughing thinking "Yeah Right". My Doctor even said that to me. He didn't believe me. Oh believe me people we will be doing some major permanent changes. That's all I am saying. We are hoping for a girl but if this one is a boy we will still be done. Actually at my ultrasound today I had this crazy feeling that it was a boy. Maybe it's because the baby was moving like a mad man. Oh and let me end on this:
Luke has decided to help me out with this pregnancy. Wouldn't that be nice?

C O N G R A T S! I commend your strength to have another - I wonder what I will do when we're ready for number two.
I will be praying for you, your pregnancy, your hubby in his new job career and for YOU again because you will need it to be encouraging through the stressful times.
What does he do now?
I am so excited for you!!!
Love - Leslie
Congrats on #4 and horray for changes! Changes can be good, tough sometimes, but good! Good luck with it all!
I'm with you on this being the last- oh wait, I'm only on my first! I can't do this sick thing anymore- throwing up at work in a public restroom is just nasty. Are you feeling better yet? I can't wait to feel normal again!
How is Luke liking the EMT classes? I hope they are going well. I don't look forward to being pregnant again with 3 little ones at home. Sometimes girl pregnancies make you really sick...could be a girl :)
Alisa, that is SO EXCITING! Congratulations, 4 will be a great #. It sounded like you were already feeling better--did I somehow make that up? I hope you are feeling better.
Just a thought, we should stay in touch a little better, maybe at some point during this summer if Nick and Kathy come down or Andy or whoever-- you guys could all come over for a swim/bar-b-que, whatever.
I am so excited for you! I am sure you are not as big as you think or feel. I hope you get feeling better and have more energy keep up with your other little ones. Congrats Alisa!
wow Alisa! That is such great news! Nope, I didn't know- how you kept it from blogs and facebook while feeling so crappy is amazing to me! When I'm pregnant everyone has to know because I just don't function. I wonder if you are sicker b/c it is a girl? I hear that girls can make you sicker b/c of the added hormones. of course that could me one of the million myths. all i know is that my girls about killed me. so your going to be married to a man in a uniform, eh? pretty cool! How many years is the training and all? change IS good here- that's awesome!
Wow! Congratulations, that is a lot of change! It is nice that all of the changes are happy changes. I am sorry that this one has been a lot harder for you, I hope you feel better soon.
Big changes! Congrats to you and Luke for the new job career and I hope everything goes well. You are a tough lady and you will be fine. #4 will be it for me as well. You definitely just got there a little faster me lol! I hope you start feeling better soon!
Change is hard...but it will be so worth it!
HOLY COW your pregnant?? Is it Lukes'?? Just checking.
I personally do NOT like change but these are good ones. Like Monday and Wed nights sound like more park time.
love the pic of luke. Sometimes change can be really scary, but most of the times it is really good. i feel like we are experiencing a lot of change also. but thank goodness for now one of those changes is not pregnancy:)
Congrats!
Too funny, love the picture. I think that is awesome that you're having #4. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's a girl. I'll also keep them crossed for Luke. It's awesome that your supporting him so he can do what he will love. I know everything will be fine :)
A firefighter?? That's awesome!! Although, I really don't know how you do it with three kids as young as they are, plus adding another one, and then adding the time your husband will be away..... Whatever you need, just call! Seriously, don't be afraid! :-)
All such exciting changes! I'm excited for you and all of the fun things this year is going to bring to your family. Too bad we don't live closer to each other, I'm often a single mom too!
