God Bless the USA

We are zoned for an amazing school. It's great. We do all sorts of fun things and they really try keep traditions alive. One of my favorite things they do concert for the 1st graders called "God Bless The USA". The kids learn all these facts about America and sings a bunch of patriotic songs. Every time I watch it I get teary eyed and feel so blessed that my kids are still learning about America and can still sings these songs. This year it was Sammy's turn to participate. She did a great job and loves performing and singing in front of people.

Sammy also was awarded Mustang of the Month for her class. Every month a teacher picks a student who is doing well academically and has good citizenship. She was very excited. We also took Nick out of class so he could see her get the award. Made me realize how old NIck is getting because boy did he think he was too cool to talk to me. Little stink!!

 I can't believe how much Nicholas and Sammy are looking alike. It's cute! So glad they have each other. Love these 2. Notice the "I'm too cool to smile normal" face?
